We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!

Make a donation to help dance halls across Texas survive and thrive!

This year, we originally set a goal of raising $10,000 by November 30th. Thanks to a generous gift from Asleep at the Wheel front man Ray Benson, we met that goal in just two days! We still have several donors who have made challenge gifts, however, so we've set a new goal of $15,000.

Texas Dance Hall Preservation is now in our 15th year, and we need your support to continue helping Texas dance halls survive *and* thrive! We provide grants for building repairs, direct assistance to dance hall owners, and help develop resources that cover everything from how to book a band, fundraising for building projects, to dance hall business management.

Your Giving Tuesday donation will go directly to helping us continue our mission of preserving historic Texas dance halls that are a part of the unique and rich history of The Lone Star State.

All contributions to TDHP are 100% tax deductible.

We are excited to share our accomplishments and future plans with you!

Your donation to TDHP as part of Giving Tuesday 2022 will:

  • Help us grow our operation and hire experts as programs and projects expand and new ones are developed on behalf of the dance halls we serve.
  • Provide much-needed technical and business consulting assistance to help dance hall owners plan building and restoration projects, connect with qualified architects and contractors, learn about managing a rental venue, and become more effective marketers.

During 2022, Texas Dance Hall Preservation:

  • Provided more than $260,000 in COVID-19 Relief Funds to 32 dance halls, for which we were recognized with the Texas Governor’s Award for Historic Preservation, the highest recognition for historic preservation in the state.

Your support makes an impact!

TDHP will continue to create resources to help dance halls not only survive but thrive in an environment that values live music and authentic Texas dance hall culture.
